Pacific Lamp Wholesale in Beaverton, Ore., uses NXT Level training to sharpen their competitive edge. “Programs like NXT Level keep us competitive by helping us learn new skills and stay on top of an evolving industry,” says Laurent Stievenard, Sales Manager at Pacific Lamp Wholesale.
Founded in 1976, the Pacific Lamp Wholesale team has earned their standing as a top trade ally for utility incentive programs by being responsive, service-oriented, and by nurturing a well-educated staff.
In that spirit, Laurent Stievenard, Sales Manager at Pacific Lamp Wholesale, was among the first in the company to earn his NXT Level 1 designation. A native of France, Stievenard has committed his career to staying on the cutting edge of the lighting industry—first in France, and then in the U.S. with Pacific Lamp Wholesale. “We’re always looking for new ways to make sure our team has all the tools we need to help customers,” says Stievenard. “NXT Level training is a very important resource to help us reach this goal.”
Stievenard has completed NXT Level 1 and looks forward to finishing the NXT Level 2 training. He considers it essential for both beginners in the industry and experienced trade allies who want to learn more. As a sales manager, he encourages others in the company to take the training as well. “When we hire new people, the first thing we do is tell them about NXT Level,” he says. “We urge everyone to go through the training process.”
According to Stievenard, the NXT Level designation has many benefits, including increasing his confidence that he’s offering the right solution to the customer. “I know customers are collecting bids from other companies,” he says. “But I don’t have any problem competing with my peers. Programs like NXT Level keep us competitive by helping us learn new skills and stay on top of an evolving industry.”
